Critical Thinking: The Conclusion of SGatGK

In my courses, I define “critical thinking” as the ability to articulate the position of the person who disagrees with you. We have a great opportunity to practice this skill at the end of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight where I give students this assignment.

With your group, compile evidence and development for your assigned claim. Once you finish, look for the best evidence your opponents might use and figure out how you would respond to it.

  • The Green Knight is ultimately a representative of the City of God.
